Spring 2007

Party for Mike (actually the annual club meeting).  About 20 or so member attended.  Some new and many regular member (maybe not so regular).  Ken cooked excellent hamburgers and hotdogs enjoyed by everyone.

After the meal, new officers were elected (follow the officers to see the new officers).  Members also agreed on a $50 annual membership fee to cover the cost of mowing the flying field and other required items.

Something new....the club members agreed to install a small flight-line barrier.  Materials and labor would be provided by members.  The goal is to enhance safety while still allowing fun....and allow the irrigation to traverse unimpeded.

March 2009

March 14th was the annual fly-in and meeting. About 12 members were in attendance with some spouses and guests. The day was overcast and somewhat cool but it was a good day of flying.

During the meeting, officers were elected as follows President: Tad McWhorter, Vice-President: Benny Bridges, Treasurer: Ken Hall, Secretary: Scott Boyd, Web Editor: Scott Boyd. Safety Officers were eliminated since everyone wanted to share the responsibility of safety.

Current funds were about $413 and the budget is set around $1400 for the year. Edwin is scheduled to mow the flying field weekly for $50 (a $10 savings weekly over last year's cost with Sheppard's), Edwin will also roll the field to help reduce bumps. Dues were set at $50 this year, over $500 was collected in dues. Dues should be paid by April 3rd, 2009. Contact Ken Hall to pay dues.

Website issues were discussed. Everyone is satisfied with the current arrangement since the only cost is the $35 domain registration fee.

Special projects included: Changing to a Frequency Board and having a fire extinguisher and first aid kit available on the field at all times.

Next years meeting will be held in Ken's barn AND some wives have volunteered to do some cooking.
